Alocasia Calidora is commonly known as Elephant Ear, named for their large heart-shaped (or elephant ear-shaped) leaves.  They make an excellent indoor houseplant and should be placed in a bright location where they have room to grow.  Elephant ears can also be used outdoors as an annual container plant but are best grown in a shady sight. Alocasia are water-loving plants so be sure to keep evenly moist, but not soggy.
