Bird of Paradise is known as the ultimate symbol of paradise and freedom. Its flowers symbolize freedom and joy and are most often bright orange and blue but can also be white. The plant resembles banana plants, with the foliage fanning out to form a thick, waxy and glossy green crown. Bird of Paradise benefits from regular feeding of water soluble plant food. In the warmer months, feeding every 2 weeks is advised. Do not plant Bird of Paradise too deeply in the pot as some root exposure promotes flowers.
