Dave Hanson is the founder and lead educator at Sage Garden Greenhouses, in Winnipeg. He is a seasoned speaker and gardening media personality, having facilitated hundreds of workshops, t.v. appearances and gardening keynotes since launching his career in 1996. Dave is the regular gardening columnist for CBC Radio Manitoba... and loves to tackle the challenges gardeners share with him on air!

Dave is continually energized by the indelible aroma of sensory plants, and has spent many years collecting rare and unusual plants, including many herbs, spices, and tropical fruits not common in the Canadian nursery trade. His passion for engaging plant material and a deep commitment to sustainability in the greenhouse and garden are key values reflected in Dave’s work at Sage Garden. In 2011, Dave graduated with his Masters in Education from the University of Manitoba, and continues his professional development as a participant in the TAB business coaching program.
