Philodendrons prefer bright indirect or dappled light; avoid direct sunlight which may scorch their leaves. Keep them happy with well-draining soil. It is recommended that your pot has drainage holes, allowing you to thoroughly water your philodendron without it sitting in water. If your pot does not have drainage holes, perhaps invest in a moisture meter to provide guidance on when to water your philodendron.
